A Refined Experience in Tuscany – Castello di Montemasso by Casa Ruffino
There are places that do more than simply host an event — they shape the entire experience. Castello di Montemasso, in collaboration with Casa Ruffino, is one of those rare locations where atmosphere, history, and landscape come together in a way that feels intentional and deeply inspiring.
This workshop in Tuscany was created as more than an educational gathering.
It was designed as an immersive experience for a select group of photographers who seek clarity, refinement, and direction in their work. With a limited number of participants, every moment was crafted to allow space for both learning and genuine connection.

From the very first hours, the setting defined the rhythm.
Soft Tuscan light, architectural elegance, and carefully curated details became the foundation for everything we created. Each frame was not just about aesthetics, but about understanding how to see, how to simplify, and how to tell a story with purpose.

The editorial shoot was built around a vision of timeless weddings
Clean compositions, natural interaction, and a quiet sense of sophistication. The presence of the couple, the floral design, and the overall styling were all aligned to reflect what today’s international couples are truly looking for: authenticity, emotion, and a sense of place.

Beyond the images, what stood out most was the atmosphere shared between the participants.
A group of photographers brought together not by chance, but by a common desire to grow, to refine their perspective, and to elevate their work to a higher standard.

This experience in Tuscany reflects the direction I believe in
Intentional, honest, and focused on long-term value, both creatively and professionally.
Below, you’ll find a selection of images and a video that capture the essence of these days at Castello di Montemasso.

I still find myself thinking about the vibe of the workshop, and honestly it turned out to be way more inspiring than I expected. What stood out the most for me was how genuine Ionatan was. He didn’t show up trying to impress or play the guru role. Instead, he openly shared both his wins and the mistakes he made along the way. That kind of honesty is rare to see in this industry, and it really resonated with me.
He gave us a real glimpse into his journey—how he got started, the choices he made, the setbacks he faced, and how he bounced back. It was motivating but also very practical. I walked away with plenty of useful ideas: tips on communicating with couples, ways to make posing look and feel natural, and the tools he relies on.
The styled shoot itself was the perfect complement to the learning. Castello di Montemasso was such a stunning backdrop. The golden hour light, the real couples we photographed, and all the carefully places details, created an atmosphere that felt both elegant and authentic. Add to that the relaxed group vibe, with lots of space for questions and conversations, and it really felt like a community.
And I have to mention the value. For what we got, the knowledge, the inspiration, and a portfolio full of strong new work, it was absolutely worth it.
I truly believe experiences like this are a must. They push you out of your comfort zone, spark fresh ideas, and open your eyes to new opportunities. I left Tuscany not only with new content and new friends, but with a renewed mindset.
