A Fairytale Wedding at Penha Longa Resort, Lisbon
Some weddings leave a lasting impression not only because of their beauty but because of the connection we build with the couple. This was the case with Akash and Manali, whose love story began with a magical proposal in Como, Italy, where Akash asked Manali to be his forever. I had the honor of capturing that special moment, and from then on, a wonderful bond grew between us. Together with my wife, who is also my photography partner, we had the privilege of documenting their incredible wedding at the breathtaking Penha Longa Resort, just outside Lisbon, Portugal.
As a team of two photographers, we believe in capturing every detail, emotion, and fleeting moment from multiple perspectives. While I focused on the couple’s intimate moments and emotions, my wife skillfully documented the guests, the intricate details, and the behind-the-scenes magic. This dual approach allows us to deliver a richer, more comprehensive story of the day—something that truly shines during grand events like this one, with approximately 170 guests from all over the world.
The wedding itself was a masterpiece of love and culture. Every element, from the vibrant floral arrangements to the heartfelt rituals, was a tribute to their Indian heritage, blended seamlessly with the elegance of a luxury destination wedding. Penha Longa’s lush surroundings provided the perfect backdrop, with its serene hills and timeless architecture adding to the charm of the celebration.
As photographers, we were not just observers; we were storytellers. Together, we captured not only the grand moments but also the quiet, tender ones: the father’s proud glance, the laughter shared among friends, the tears of joy during the vows.
